Frankfurt, not Paris, in 2026
Fi Europe moves between cities. The 2025 edition was held in Paris, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from 2 to 4 December 2025. The 2026 edition is at Messe Frankfurt, Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1, 60327 Frankfurt am Main. Old listings that still say Paris refer to last year. Before you book travel, check the dates on the official site.
What does a Fi Europe ticket cost?
There is no free visitor pass. The organiser lists four passes. The lower price applies until 15 November, then the full price.
| Pass | Full price | Until 15 November 2026 | What it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | €289 | €231 | Entry from 10:00 on all three days, including the Fi Europe Conference. |
| Priority | €369 | €295 | Early entry at 09:00. |
| Premium | €579 | €463 | Entry at 09:00, lounge access, an industry report and the Innovation Awards. |
| Supplier | €1,559 | €1,299 | Entry at 09:00, early access to the event app, the visitor list and a dedicated meeting area. |
Prices excluding VAT, as published by the organiser on 21 October 2026. The organiser says prices rise on 15 November at 23:59 CEST. Passes are bought on the official site, not from us.
Which pass fits:
- Standard works for most buyers and R&D teams who come for the show floor and the conference.
- Priority adds the 09:00 start, which gives a quiet hour for meetings before the halls fill.
- Premium adds a lounge, an industry report and the Innovation Awards.
- Supplier is for companies that sell ingredients but are not exhibiting. It adds the visitor list, early app access and a meeting area.
Opening hours and early entry
- Tuesday 17 November: 10:00-18:00
- Wednesday 18 November: 10:00-18:00
- Thursday 19 November: 10:00-16:00
Holders of Priority, Premium and Supplier passes can enter at 09:00. The last day closes two hours earlier, so book your important meetings on the first two days.
The five show areas, and who should walk each one
The organiser divides the show into five areas:
- Food Ingredients. The core of the show. For R&D, product developers and ingredient buyers in bakery, dairy, snacks, confectionery and beverages.
- Health Ingredients. For teams working on nutrition, supplements, fortified foods and better-for-you lines.
- Tech: Services and Equipment. For plant and process engineers, and for anyone who has to make a new ingredient run on the line. If that is you, our pages on extruders, seasoning systems and checkweighers are a good start before the show.
- Pet Food and Nutrition Hub. For pet food makers and their ingredient suppliers.
- Ready to Market. The organiser lists it as a separate area of the show.
The programme
The organiser lists these parts of the programme:
- Fi Europe Conference, included in the Standard pass.
- Innovation Awards, on 17 November.
- Innovation Hub, on all three days.
- Tasting Bar, on all three days.
- Women's Networking Breakfast, on 18 November.
- Future of Nutrition Lunch and Learn, on 18 November.
- Pet Food and Nutrition Forum.
Session times and speakers are on the official agenda, which changes up to the show.
Who should go
- R&D and product developers looking for new ingredients, replacements for ingredients that have become costly or hard to get, and clean-label options.
- Procurement and sourcing teams meeting current suppliers and looking for a second source.
- Founders and brand owners working on a first product or a reformulation.
- Private-label buyers looking for suppliers who can produce to their specification.
- Ingredient sellers who are not exhibiting, often on the Supplier pass.
How to plan your visit
- Decide what you need to leave with. Three to five problems to solve (for example a natural colour that holds in baking, or a second source of a gum) are better than a long wish list.
- Shortlist exhibitors on the official list. The organiser publishes the 2026 exhibitor list on its exhibitor site. Mark each company by hall and stand.
- Book meetings two to three weeks ahead. Use the first two days for meetings that matter. The last day is shorter.
- Bring your specification. For each ingredient: what it is for, the volume you need, the target price, the certificates you need and your country's rules.
- Ask for the same things at every stand. A specification sheet, a certificate of analysis, the certificates the supplier holds, the minimum order quantity, lead time and the sample policy.
- Follow up within a week. Send your notes, ask for samples and set a date to test them.
Exhibiting at Fi Europe
Stands are sold by the organiser, not by us. Start on the organiser's book a stand page, or call its customer service on +31 20 245 5355 (phone or WhatsApp).
With four weeks to go, the work that pays off is:
- Specification sheets and certificates for each product, ready to hand out and to send.
- A sample plan. Which samples you bring, how you ship them after the show, and what they cost.
- Buyer outreach before the show. Write to buyers now and ask for a meeting at your stand. Most good meetings are booked before the doors open.
- A clear stand message. What you make, for which use, and one proof (a certificate, a customer type, a capacity).
- A follow-up plan for the week after, with an owner for every lead.
Indian ingredient suppliers at Fi Europe
India supplies many of the ingredients on show in Frankfurt: spices and extracts, gums, dehydrated vegetables and potato ingredients. The organiser does not list a national pavilion for India on its site.
- Indian exporters: read our sister site's guide, Fi Europe 2026 for Indian ingredient suppliers, on how to take part, what it costs and how to meet European buyers.
- Potato flake, starch and dehydrated potato makers: see the guide on our sister site IndianPotato.com.
- European buyers: use the form below and we will introduce Indian suppliers by category.
